Employers who partner with Fox Valley Workforce Development Board (FVWDB), benefit from a number of tools that maximize the effectiveness of their recruitment investment. Trained Business Services Managers will work with you, the employer, to understand your recruitment needs and find the tool that is best suited for your company. FVWDB's Business Services Team utilizes the following recruitment and / or candidate selection programs:

Job Center of Wisconsin

To create a pool of qualified candidates, all employers using our services are encouraged to utilize Job Center of Wisconsin. This service is offered at no charge for eligible Wisconsin employers and is accessible to employers and job seekers 24-hours a day, 7 days a week.

Job Fairs

In partnership with local colleges, Chambers of Commerce, and other community resources, FVWDB partners in a number of fairs throughout  Winnebago, Fond du Lac, Calumet, Waushara, Waupaca and Green Lake counties. Job fairs offer a great way to connect face-to-face with a number of job seekers in one day and are helpful in assisting employers to create "brand identity."

Prescreening

Prescreening services are available and include: application collection, screening interviews, proctor pre-employment assessments, background checking, etc. For a complete list of available services, please speak to a member of the Business Services team.

WorkKeys

The NCRC is a transferable credential that proves an individual is work ready. It is a tool that demonstrates to employers that an individual possesses the basic skills required for success in today's workforce. The program is based on hard-skills testing integrated into a system called WorkKeys®, which was created by ACT, a nationally-recognized assessment organization. The ACT WorkKeys job skill assessment system is a validated, EEOC-compliant system used to evaluate jobs and compare the skills required by certain jobs. It verifies that the person can handle tasks in: applied mathematics, reading for information, and locating information.
